Upon arrival in Bali you will be met by our tour guide, to then take a taxi bus to the hotel in Canggu. Here you can rest from the journey and possibly take a dip in the swimming pool on the roof of the hotel, with a beautiful view over Brawa beach that is within walking distance. The hotel is located between the rice fields and has several cozy cafes/restaurants as well as small boutiques in the area.

Day 4 - Canggu - Lovina
After a good night's sleep and breakfast, we will first go through some things together that are important for this trip. In particular, participating in traffic will be discussed in detail. We leave and drive through rice fields and terraces. We soon leave the crowds and drive over narrow paths, small villages through the green hilly area of southwest Bali. We make a short stop on the beach and then drive north. The forerunners of the mountains of Bali have many small paths that show us the most beautiful of this tropical island. After a local lunch we drive alternately on and off road up the mountains and then descend all the way to the North coast of Bali, we arrive at the small town of Lovina. Our hotel is located 10 minutes from the center directly on the beach with a lovely swimming pool. For our evening meal, the Indonesian gourmets can immediately feast because we can eat delicious local food, but Western dishes are also served here if necessary.

Day 5 - Lovina - Sidemen
After breakfast we drive to Singaraja, the old capital of Bali. The ride goes over narrow roads through villages where the locals stare at us because they see Western tourists on a motorbike. Then a lot of bends while climbing the mountain Gunung Batur by motorbike. Just before the top we turn off to drive via wooded area and narrow paths to the old volcanic crater. Here we will conquer the loose black lava sand with our enduros. We drive up to the crater rim for lunch and to enjoy the breathtaking view over Lake Batur with the highest mountain of Bali Gunung Agung in the background. After lunch we go off road down the mountain towards Sidemen which is known for its spectacular rice fields and terraces. After arrival a drink on the terrace and enjoy this ride.

Day 6 - Sidemen- Kuta (Lombok)
Today we leave Bali and take the ferry (approximately 4 hours) to cross over to Lombok. In the afternoon we will travel via back roads of South Lombok through various kampungs where the local population searches for gold towards the south coast. The winding roads over the hills of Blongas, Bremi and Pandaleman, with a view of the Indian Ocean, take us to the surfing paradise of Kuta (Lombok) where we will spend the night. Kuta is a friendly, relaxed place with various small eateries. Kuta beach is within walking distance of the hotel.

Day 7 - Kuta - Maluk (Sumbawa)
Today we continue driving via a breathtaking coastal road to the east, where salt is extracted from seawater in a traditional way. Keruak is the centre of the region, where people from all over the region come to the market. We drive via the coastal road to the north. At Labuhan Lombok we take the ferry (1 hour) to Sumbawa. When we leave the ferry we drive via the hills of Sebunyil to South Sumbawa, where the town of Maluk is located. Maluk has hardly any tourism, except for a few surfers, so you will experience pure Sumbawa here.

Day 8 - Maluk - Sumbawa Besar
We get up early for today's long drive, a large part of which is unpaved through the southern part of Sumbawa and where Mount Jala is. In this part they are busy working the land with bulldozers and excavators, to make a passable asphalt road. However, due to the speed of the work and the size of the area, this will be a life project that will allow us to enjoy the untouched nature with its unpaved roads for a long time to come. Then we drive north, via Mount Gerungan, to arrive in Sumbawa Besar, the largest city (relative term) of Sumbawa. Despite the fact that the island of Sumbawa is developing slowly, we have a new and modern hotel here according to Western standards.

Day 9 - Sumbawa Besar - Bima
A long trip in kilometers is planned for today. The route goes along the azure coast in the morning with the island of Moyo in the background. Driving through various villages, on well-paved roads with many beautiful bends, we will first climb the mountain pass of Doro Wero in the afternoon and then arrive in Bima via Dompu. We spend the night in the middle of Bima, opposite the local covered market.

In Labuan Bajo we spend the night in a well-maintained hotel, against the slope, with a view of the Flores Sea. In the centre we can enjoy a drink and/or meal, with a view of the harbour with the many sailing boats at anchor.

Day 11 - Labuan Bajo - accommodation - boat to Rinca

Day 13 - Bajawa - Moni
In the morning we first visit the traditional Ngada village. Then we drive further first over various mountains and in the afternoon the coastal road towards Ende to then go back into the mountains and end up in the small town of Moni. Nearby are the 3 colored lakes of Kelimutu.

Day 14 - Moni - Riung
If you want to see the 3 colored lakes at sunrise, you have to get up at 3.30 am and drive the 12 kilometer long mountain road in the dark with the motorbike! Then you have to take a walk of about 30 minutes, to finally arrive at 1640 meters and enjoy the sunrise and the 3 lakes with their own colors. After breakfast we drive to Riung, which is located in the north. This part has a different landscape and is especially arid in the dry season. The middle part of this day is unpaved and far from civilization.

Day 15 - Riung - stay
We stay an extra day in Riung to admire the 17 Islands Marine Park with a fishing boat. This protected area is unknown to tourists and very quiet. We go snorkeling in a number of places and for lunch we eat a BBQ fish on one of the tropical uninhabited islands.

Day 16 - Riung - Ruteng
Via the northern coastal road, of which a large part is still unpaved, we drive completely alone through the fascinating landscape of North Flores. Sporadically we drive through a remote village where the locals will stare at us, because foreigners with motorbikes pass by. The last two hours of the route the road is paved and mountainous with breathtaking rice terraces that this region, called Manggarai, is rich in.

Day 17 - Ruteng - Labuhan Bajo
Today's route we now drive in the opposite direction (see day 9) and you will be amazed that you will see the area, like you did not see it the last time.

Day 18 - Labuhan Bajo - Bima (Sumbawa)
The ferry leaves in the morning for Bima and in the afternoon we drive through mountainous area to Bima where we spend the night. The hotel is close to the market, which is definitely worth a visit.

Day 19 - Bima - Sumbawa Besar
We leave Bima and after less than an hour's drive we turn off to explore the area around Kilo. Driving along the coast, the road quickly becomes a dirt road and later nothing more than a path. We drive into a number of villages, where the locals will look at us with open mouths and the children will wave enthusiastically. In the afternoon we drive on a well-paved coastal road to Sumbawa Besar again.

Day 20 - Sumbawa Besar - Bayan (Lombok)
After three hours of coastal road, we take the ferry to Lombok. Then we drive on the northern coastal road of this island. There is very little traffic in this part, so you can optimally enjoy the landscape with the Gunung Rinjani mountain in the background and the azure blue sea on the other side. We spend the night in Bayan, 600 meters against the mountain Rinjani and a view of the coastline. Here we sleep in a wooden cottage with a thatched roof, between the rice terraces. A natural swimming pool gives you a direct view of the surroundings and the restaurant. Heeniijk Indonesian or western food.

Day 21 - Bayan - stay
Today a free day to relax, take a walk in the area or swim in the natural swimming pool of the accommodation.

Day 22 - Bayan - Sanur (Bali)
We drive further along the coastal road, towards the south. Our last ride on Lombok goes over small roads to the harbor where we sail back to Bali. After the ferry trip in the evening, we drive straight to our hotel in Sanur.

Day 23 - Sanur - stay, departure
The last day in Bali to relax at the pool on the roof of the hotel or at the sea with its white sandy beaches and high waves, which is ideal for the many surfers who come here. In the evening you leave for the airport.
