Day 1 – Home – Departure
For those who did not buy this tour as a package tour including the flight ticket, this day does not apply.
Day 2 – Arrival – Osh
Upon your arrival at Osh International Airport, a driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Osh. Osh is the second-largest city in Kyrgyzstan, located in the Fergana Valley in the south of the country and often referred to as the "capital of the south".
Day 3 – Osh – Toktogul
We ride out of the city of Osh and follow the road along the border with Uzbekistan and Lake Anjiyan. In the town of Jalal-Abad, we stop for coffee. After passing Bazar-Korgon, we turn onto a dirt track that follows the river. This is the first beautiful route, and after about 50 kilometers of unpaved road, we arrive in the small village of Arslanbob. After a simple lunch in the village, we ride on a dirt road that winds up with a view of the Alyampasy summit, which is 3800 meters high. In the late afternoon, we return to the asphalt, and it is not far to Toktogul, on the lake of the same name. Here we spend the night in a nice hotel
Day 4 – Toktogul – Kyzyl Oi
We continue along the south side of the lake and then ascend into the high mountains. It is a beautiful plateau with stunning views. As we approach Kyzyl Oy, we descend slightly. This small village has no hotels or guesthouses. Instead, we stay in a homestay that, in practice, resembles a guesthouse.
Day 5 – Kyzyl Oi – Son Kul
In the morning, we travel along a beautiful asphalt road and turn south. From there, we follow a scenic gravel road towards the lake of Son Kul. Traditional Ger tents have been set up along the shore of the lake. We will stay in one of these tents, enjoying a stunning view over the lake.
Day 6 – Son Kul – Naryn
Today's journey is a beautiful route, with more than half of it on gravel roads. We ascend a stunning section of the mountains south of the great Issyk Kul. This secluded area offers breathtaking views. Unpaved hairpin bends lead us to a crossroads where we take the route heading south. We then descend and arrive in the small village of Naryn, where we will spend the night in a simple
Day 7 – Naryn – Tash Rabat
We are now in the lower parts of the country, in a valley near the border with China. We will spend the night in an old Silk Road camp. Before arriving here, we will first ride to the Chinese border. This route takes us through a beautiful pass around a lake. Although we can't cross the border, the journey is stunning.
Day 8 – Tash Rabat – Kazarman
We head back into the mountains, traveling west on mostly unpaved gravel roads. Before reaching the mountain village of Kazarman, we first ascend a beautiful pass.
Day 9 – Kazarman – Osh
This section remains challenging before we get back onto the asphalt. First, we have to cross the unpaved Kaldama Pass, which is at an elevation of 3,000 meters. This offers a stunning view of the mountain range that spans the country. On the other side of the pass, the area becomes more densely populated, and we pass through several villages. At Jalal-Abad, we return to the tarmac, and from there, it is not far to Osh.
