I had a fantastic holiday and it was my first organized group trip. Immediately contacted by app when our taxi was a little late. Tour guide Robbert did a fantastic job, both what kind of driving, free driving, information about the environment and guidance in the unfortunate circumstances. The highlight was definitely the drive through the cave and coffee plantations, ending with an overnight stay on the mountain where we arrived just in time for the sunset.

Contact was difficult at first, then excellent. It was a great varied trip with a very nice group. Tour guide Robbert was very pleasant to deal with, professional and acted appropriately in an 'emergency situation'. Dien Bien Phu was the absolute highlight for me. And then the pass and our sleeping place up there. Stages of 150/160km are enough; now sometimes haste was necessary. For the rest, my compliments, I look back on the trip with great pleasure. The help for my follow-up trip was also excellent, Oanh is a great person.

"Contact was mainly through someone else in our group, so it is more difficult for me to give my opinion about that. The trip itself was beautiful. This is of course something subjective, but I think that in general this was a super fun trip for our group. Tour guidance was good. Perhaps there could have been a little more communication about how to communicate or respond when the group falls apart. Stop, don't stop, drive forward? The highlights were the beautiful nature and views and the off-road motorcycle riding. The little bits of history/sights we stopped at. Hardly meeting any Europeans along the way and feeling like you're quite unique in visiting those areas."

Contact with Motor Trails is generally good. Only unclear about the Laos visa, but understandable after the Covid period. The trip was very good, nice change between off-road, potholes and asphalt! Tour guides Mick and Robert did a very good job. Highlights for me were the off-road driving.
Stijn Vercammen - North Laos Vietnam - October 2023
As far as I'm concerned, I think the trips are a great concept, but the motorcycle really comes first. In any case, a great experience richer. Thank you for that. Contact with Motor Trails was very good in our case, of course. Welcomed by you, accompanied by 2 supervisors and chased by the boss.. The trip is great, very beautiful nature, tour guide Mick really had something to say about Vietnam and Laos, the sleeping places were fantastic, the rides themselves impressive and the unlikely enthusiasm of our technician for our engines.

"After a week of letting everything sink in, I still think back every day to our time in Vietnam / Laos. Motor Trails did a great job. I thought it was a wonderful trip. To be able to do this with a lot of scout friends is of course absolutely fantastic. .Tour guide Robbert, Wa ne guy. Always calm and everything under control. There were many highlights... every day I can mention one and usually several. A few hotels in Laos were also a disappointment. Cold water in one. The Mechanic Hoa Tran deserves more than a compliment... fantastic guy. The combination of Robbert and Hao is also great. He received my helmet, motorcycle jacket and shoes afterwards."

"This was a beautiful trip - correct stages - not too long - not too short. Big difference in all areas between Vietnam and Laos. Luang Prabang is beautiful - good place for a rest day. Good reliable engines The trip itself was motorbike - technically simple, but that is also allowed. Improvement point: with an extra 2 to 3 travel days, for example, you can see more of North Vietnam than what is currently in the program. It would probably also provide more variety. I thought it was the best I Luang Prabang and the road between Ponsavan and Luang Prabang. Ta Xua is also very beautiful. The contact with Remco went smoothly and well. He was always well prepared and proved to know the region well. Still left enough space for the group so that the group could also do its own thing. Contact with the office was excellent - contact went smoothly. Both during the preliminary discussions - and during the trip itself."
Bernard de Canniere – North Vietnam and Laos Mountain Peoples – November 2019
"This was a beautiful motorcycle trip, nice to see the enormous differences between Laos and Vietnam. What I liked best was the strong change in the environment in general and the people in particular. Lots of fun things during this motorcycle trip, but because there is little culture in it I have no specific highlight. Point for improvement: some rides were quite long, but that will probably be changed in a final trip. With Remco the tour guide, as in previous experiences (Vietnam North-South), there was excellent contact and there were no ambiguities or problems. . Note, as previously indicated, some day distances are a bit on the long side and therefore take a lot of time, despite the fact that it was a fast group. Contact with the office was excellent as always."
Jos van Kempen - Pilot North Vietnam and Laos Mountain Peoples – October/November 2019
“Beautiful mountain scenery and friendly people. Lots of motorcycle challenges, waving children in villages and a nice group composition. Frans did excellently. Unique experience, it was special!”
Frank Zethof – Northern Laos Mountain Peoples – January 2015
" Beautiful trip, sleeping at the people's home in a guesthouse was special. The Luang Prabang nightmarket was fun, but the highlight was driving through the small villages with waving children. Saw few hill tribes. Frans, the tour guide, was excellent, it was a wonderful holiday.”
Mischa ter Baak – Northern Laos Mountain Peoples – January 2015
“Trip was fantastic, incredible experience. Frans is good, has a lot of experience, sometimes rides too far ahead of the group. Contact with the office was good. Questions were answered clearly.”
Marleen Zetghof – Northern Laos Mountain Peoples – January 2015
"Wonderful trip! Laos is a beautiful country where you hardly see any other tourists outside the larger cities. The people are extremely friendly. The overnight stays were basic, but certainly adequate. Beautiful nature, the quality of the roads was better than I expected and there were considerable stretches where fun off-road driving was possible."
Hugo Kolfschoten - Northern Laos - January 2014
"The trip was fun, adventurous, nice group, good atmosphere. Highlights were driving on unpaved roads and through stretches of untouched jungle. Contact with the locals. Vang Vieng was a very nice place, we had an extra day there Luang Prabang is also beautiful. Kris was a great tour guide. Positive, adventurous, open to ideas and suggestions and has a sense of humor. Always had a good mood despite the sometimes difficult communication with driver Peng."
Titus Brand - Northern Laos - January 2014
"Fantastic trip with a nice group. However, there are a few hi-lights in Laos. Not like in neighboring countries Cambodia and Vietnam. Perhaps this can be solved with a place where you can ride an elephant, go on a balloon ride or do it like we did in Vientiane have taken a helicopter flight."
Robert Verhoeven - Northern Laos - January 2014
"In the beginning I was very enthusiastic about the first sights of northern Laos. Beautifully mountainous and very green. So different from flat Cambodia. The mountain roads were also fantastic to drive, it was like a computer game, endless bends and so on. up and down. However, the asphalt machines are moving so fast that the map makers cannot keep up. Where dotted lines are still drawn on the map and we were looking forward to an adventurous stretch for the coming day. On the other hand, we were regularly surprised by brand new road construction. of, 'alpenstrasse' quality."
Hans Hoogenbosch - Northern Laos - January 2014
"Great! Great group. Beautiful country. Great motorcycles for there. Nice roads (sometimes too good).
Highlights were single track and off-road driving. Luang Prabang with waterfall. Nature and small villages in the middle of nowhere. Tour guide is very good! Nice guy, leaves room for input. Self-confident and sociable! Arranged everything well."
